My Haitian Friend
I have a friend who lives far away
Haiti is the place she stays
Celine Joseph is her name
We are both girls, we are the same
I have been blessed with many things
She needs almost everything
I have food, shelter, and a school
She is just a priceless jewel.
Then a terrible earthquake struck
It wiped out any of her family’s luck
I chose to make a difference with her
I give every month to help her grow strong
To have her go hungry would really be wrong
She goes to school now and has food to eat
This is not just a once a month treat
She deserves to create her own dreams
I know we make a great team
Everyone should make a decision
To help another and create a vision!

Hungry and Homeles
Giving is helping some one in need. When you give you make the world a better place for everyone. I saved a homeles dog one day. The dog was hungry so I fed her. I made her my pet feel if I was hungry I would want someone to feed me too.

Giving Through Compassion
When my mom and I first signed up for Compassion International we got a picture of our sponsored kid. He had the biggest blank face I’ve ever seen! But when we started getting letters and more pictures he had the biggest smile you have ever seen! Since then, I have learned what giving is. I think giving is making someone happy. There are different ways to make someone happy. You can send letters, give money, or draw pictures. But out of all the things that make you and me happy, this is the best – when you give you give joy. That is the meaning of giving.

Giving Clothes to Poor People
Giving clothes and jackets to people is nice to do. Giving food to hungry people is nice. We can also give them blankets so they are not cold.

G-I-V-E
(Sung to the YMCA)
Givers, let’s get giving,
I said givers, it is a part of living,
I said givers, I give smiles.
They last for miles.
Givers, I give God’s grace.
I said givers, giving isn’t a race!
I said givers, I give to my friends,
Giving will never end!
It’s nice to G-I-V-E!
It’s nice to G-I-V-E!
When you give, you are kind.
Giving should always be in your mind!
Givers, giving helps you succeed.
I said givers, be thankful for what you receive.
I said givers, let’s start a pact.
Giving is rewarding, it’s a fact!
It’s nice to G-I-V-E!

What Giving Means
I think giving means sharing with other kids
If you think giving means playing together,
Giving is like giving presents at Christmas.
Giving is like helping someone
Caring for them when they are sick,
It even means helping someone to open something
When they can’t open it.

We Care
Giving makes people happy. Every penny counts. You can give love, happiness, food, or liquid. Even if you don’t get something back you still feel great because you know you are helping someone in need. Giving comes from the center of your heart. It’s never too much when it comes to giving. You can give a dog a treat or you can give a head a pillow to sleep on. The more you give the better you feel. The recipient will thank you, love you, and remember you forever. The best kind of giving is love because you send love and you get love.

Giving
Giving means a lot of things to a lot of different people and to me giving means caring. Giving is what people should to people that don’t have things that they need like money, food, or clothes. This also includes giving donations to poor people on the streets.
Some people think they don’t need to do anything in their lives, because they are rich. They just do things or think about themselves. People need other peoples help to help them. What if you need other people to help you? What if you need help? What if nobody helped you, then how would you feel?
If I won two lotteries I would give one hundred dollars to each person on the street. I would also go or send the money to Haiti and other places where the bad earthquake happened.
